When does OP-17 release?
The Japanese release lands Saturday, 22 August 2026. The English release follows in late August 2026, with most retailers listing 28 August and prerelease events the week before.

Every OP-17 leader
All six leaders are confirmed, one per colour:
- Red — Edward Newgate
- Black — Monkey D. Luffy
- Green — Shanks
- Purple — Kaido
- Yellow — Big Mom
- Blue — Rocks D. Xebec
Rocks D. Xebec is the one to watch. A playable Xebec leader has been requested since the game launched, and anniversary sets have a history of pushing new archetypes hard.
OP-17 chase cards
The value in this set concentrates at the top:
- Manga Rares of the original Four Emperors — Shanks, Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom. Historically the hardest pulls in any anniversary set.
- Luffy Leader Super Parallel — expected to be the single most valuable card in OP-17.
- Conqueror's Haki SP line — Roronoa Zoro, Kozuki Oden, Monkey D. Garp, Gol D. Roger, Yamato and Silvers Rayleigh.
- Gold Anniversary SPs — the Four Emperors plus Luffy, Blackbeard and Buggy.
Should you buy a box or singles?
Anniversary sets get printed heavily, which usually means sealed box prices soften a few weeks after release while the top chase cards hold or climb. If you want a specific Manga Rare, singles are almost always cheaper than chasing it out of boxes. If you are opening for the experience or reselling packs, a sealed box at pre-order pricing is the better play — pre-order allocation is the cheapest the box will be before scalper pricing sets in.
